Governance

OUEM places great store in its fiduciary responsibilities. The governance structure outlines the division of responsibilities and duties between the University and OUEM, and in particular the Chief Investment Officer.

The board of OUEM is responsible for running the business of OUEM; including all operational as well as all governance, legal and compliance matters. The University's Investment Committee determines the investment policy and sets benchmarks by which the performance of OUEM is measured. Together, investment guidelines and asset policy allocation are formulated.

This provides a clear framework of responsibilities and a clear line of reporting by the Chief Investment Officer and the University's Investment Committee to Council, the University's executive governing body. OUEM reports to Council bi-annually.
