Investment Committee
The Investment Committee is responsible to University Council for the investment of all funds and endowments of the University, apart from those held by the Societies and the Press. It is also responsible for the effective management and control of investment risks. The Committee is appointed by the Council and represents the interests of all investors when fulfilling its duties in relation to the funds managed by OUEM.
The Investment Committee oversees OUEM and sets investment and distribution policies for the funds it manages. OUEM is responsible for the implementation of the policies set by the Investment Committee. In particular it is responsible for portfolio construction, due diligence, risk management, portfolio monitoring and reporting.
As the investment manager, OUEM reports to the Investment Committee regularly and meets with the Committee three times a year.
Estates and Valuation Committees
The Estates Committee and the Valuation Committee are sub-committees of the Investment Committee and assist with aspects of the Investment Committee's duties.
The Estates Committee provides strategic advice to the Investment Committee on investment strategy concerning rural and urban property investments held directly by the Endowment Fund.
The Valuation Committee oversees the annual valuation process for the funds under OUEM's management.
